U.S. Ambassador to The Bahamas Herschel Walker, Mrs. Walker, and a team from the U.S. Embassy visited Windsor in May, touring the Lower and Upper Schools, interacting with students, and learning more about Windsor’s exceptional academics and programming.
The visit exemplified Windsor’s strong relationship with the U.S. Embassy and the embassy community.
While touring the Lower School, Ambassador Walker and Mrs. Walker popped into classes, spoke with students about their studies, and admired facilities including the library and computer lab. During his visit, Ambassador Walker remarked upon how “happy” the students and campus felt.
At the Upper School, students in the STEM program showed off their independent projects to the embassy team. Ambassador Walker and Mrs. Walker also watched Music and Performing Arts students rehearse their Spring Showcase performance before learning more about the Windsor Blue Ocean marine sciences program and Windsor’s Music and Performing Arts Signature Program.
At the end of his visit, Mr. Ambassador was even able to offer some hard-won words of wisdom to Windsor’s BAISS Jr. Girls Volleyball team – who eventually went on to win the BAISS championship.
Windsor was grateful for the opportunity to share our culture of happiness and excellence with Mr. Ambassador and Mrs. Walker, and we are looking forward to continuing our strong relationship with the U.S. Embassy and community.
