Author Candace Fleming and Illustrator Eric Rohmann Visit Windsor

Windsor School was thrilled to welcome bestselling author Candace Fleming and renowned illustrator Eric Rohmann for a multi-day visit across all three campuses. The duo, known for their captivating books, engaged with students in a series of dynamic lessons, art workshops, and storytelling sessions.

Throughout the visit, Fleming and Rohmann interacted with students across grade levels, from Little Windsor to Grade 12. In addition to the engaging presentations, the pair hosted hands-on workshops where students had the chance to explore their own creativity. Students wrote their own short stories, learned the basics of illustration, and asked the authors about their journeys in the literary world. In particular, Rohmann led art workshops, while Fleming discussed the ins and outs of researching and writing narrative nonfiction.

The visit wrapped up with a book signing event, where students had the chance to take home signed copies of their titles.

It was an unforgettable experience and left a lasting impression on our students. Windsor looks forward to future collaborations with literary figures and events that continue to inspire and engage our students in the world of literature and the arts.
