Primland Racing Experience 2018

This Sunday, Harold Primat is delighted to once again host the Primland Racing Experience Powered by Audi, which is celebrating its fifth edition with 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours winner Neel Jani coming on board at Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountain resort.

Nine-time Le Mans winner and Primland ambassador Tom Kristensen will miss this year’s two-day event due to clashing commitments, but that will not take anything away from this special occasion, which promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Alongside Harold, Neel Jani will give guests a real taste of professional racing on the Virginia International Raceway, with Audi providing a range of high performance cars such as the R8 V10 Plus, RS5 Coupe, RS3 Sedan and TT RS.

Guests will also have the opportunity to jump into the cockpit of a track-prepared Radical RXC, as they join Harold and Neel, who both drove for Rebellion in 2012, for a true experience of high downforce machinery specifically engineered to tackle the world’s best circuits.

Alongside the racing, guests can enjoy the breath-taking 12,000 acres of land around the Blue Ridge Mountains, with events such as golf, go-karting, clay shooting, horse riding and fine dining on offer.

Also joining the line-up again this year is nine-time PGA Tour winner and Primland’s golf ambassador Jay Haas, who will assist and advise guests of varying abilities on the renowned 18-hole course, which was designed by Donald Steel and is a test for even the very best.

Switching back to the track, the karting competition gives guests an opportunity to battle it out against professional drivers Neel and Harold, with new machinery delivered this year to further test the limits of the participant’s abilities.

Aside from the various activities, the spectacular scenery stretching across the Virginia landscape provides the perfect backdrop to unwind and enjoy the fantastic food, drink and music.

Harold Primat, Primland Ambassador: “For the fifth edition of the Primland Racing Experience we want to make sure it’s one to remember. We’ve got an extensive line-up of cars from Audi and it’s fantastic to have them on board again. There’s been great coverage of the event, everyone’s very excited to be here. We’ve got a nice mix of first-timers and people who have attended PRE for many years and it’s always an excellent social occasion where everyone shares their stories and experiences.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Neel Jani, he’s a great driver and person, and is looking forward to his first Primland Racing Experience. I’m also excited to have golfing legend Jay Haas back this year to share his knowledge, he always gets involved in our activities off the course as well! Most importantly are the guests, and this year we promise to give them an unforgettable two days, as we always do.”

Neel Jani, 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours winner: “I’m excited to be a part of this special fifth edition of the Primland Racing Experience. I know Harold well from our time at Rebellion Racing together in the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship and I’d like to thank him for this opportunity. The resort is incredible and I’m looking forward to meeting all of the guests and taking them out for hot laps around the Virginia International Raceway, which is a fantastic circuit! I’ve been told it gets quite competitive, so I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun to see what everyone’s capable of.”
