BREEF

Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation (BREEF) aims to promote conservation of the Bahamian marine environment. It works to protect critical ecosystems such as coral reefs, mangroves and seagrass beds that provide coastal protection, support fisheries and sustain biodiversity.

Through public education, school field trips and restoration projects, BREEF promotes a healthy ocean for future generations. The foundation engages thousands of students, teachers and community members each year with hands-on learning experiences.

BREEF’s eco-schools empowers children and young people to take care of their environment by engaging them in fun, action-oriented learning and community outreach. These eco-schools have been awarded the prestigious Green Flag, an internationally-recognised symbol of excellence in environmental education and practice.

Centre FEE

Fondation pour les Enfants Extraordinaires helps to develop the skills, independence and inclusion of children with special needs. FEE offers a targeted, coordinated and multidisciplinary approach to care, focused on anticipated outcomes for each child.

The Foundation offers as much support as is necessary for each child to achieve the desired objectives, based on its core principles of fairness and impartiality.

FEE offers a holistic, targeted, sustained model of intervention that focuses on the needs of each child’s circumstances. By doing this, the Foundation can provide the right environment for each situation, enabling the children to develop and receive the support they need.

Léman Hope

Léman Hope is a Swiss association which supports children in remission from cancer, offering them a confidence boost through learning to sail. Returning to normal life after recovering from cancer is not easy for young people, but Léman Hope aims to give these children the opportunity to learn a new skill and form strong bonds as they re-adapt to life. They also welcome brothers and sisters of children in remission, who also benefit from sharing the experience.

More than 250 places have been offered on Léman Hope boats since 2020, with the goal to take 300 young people every year by 2030. Sailing offers the children a taste of independence, giving them a chance to enjoy an enriching adventure in a safe and supportive environment.

Harold’s funding supports the camps at Lake Léman, with the donation covering an entire boat for four children.

Porte Bonheur

The Porte Bonheur association has been in action for over 30 years and works with orphans in Switzerland. The organisation aims to bring moments of happiness, make underprivileged children realise their dreams and help them on a daily basis: listening and giving advice on numerous areas.

Porte Bonheur runs activity days for these young people, boosting their physical and mental wellbeing, while also providing support for schooling and training, such as funding sports club membership, covering tuition fees and purchasing educational technologies.
