A new chapter begins for the historic Lisbon club.
In a move to bring a new and exciting element to Portuguese football, a consortium backed by LEAD/ADvantage and KI Group, joining forces with world-class football icons and investors, has officially secured a controlling 90% stake in Liga Portugal club CFEA (Clube de Futebol Estrela da Amadora).
Johannes Mösmang steps into the role of President at CFEA, bringing a decade of elite experience from Bayern Munich’s professional player department, where he worked closely with executives, coaches, and players. He succeeds outgoing President Paulo Lopo as part of the ownership transition.
CFEA is one of the great names of Portuguese football — a historic Lisbon club with deep roots, a passionate community, and — rare for a club of its size — ownership of its stadium. The consortium thanks Paulo Lopo, who re-established CFEA in Liga Portugal, for his major contributions to the club over the last six years.
“Portugal is one of the most exciting environments in European football today: a league that consistently showcases world-class talent, with significant growth and reforms ahead. We are committed to developing this club in a disciplined, sustainable way, investing in the right people, the right infrastructure, and the right footballing model, so that the fans, the community, and everyone connected to CFEA can be proud of what we will build together,” said Johannes Mösmang.
The consortium is anchored by LEAD/ADvantage, the sports-focused investment firm led by Jeremy Pressman and Alexander Bente, great-grandson of adidas founder Adi Dassler, together with KI Group, a global technology investor and company builder.
“Great clubs are built by exceptional people. We are thrilled to partner with the team and look forward to supporting them as they build something special in Lisbon,” said Alexander Bente.
The consortium brings together a distinguished lineup of strategic investors from professional football, including Thomas Müller, Mats Hummels, and Yann Sommer, alongside other prominent figures from sports and finance, such as French international Lucas Hernandez. Together, they combine institutional investment power, elite football expertise, and a shared long-term ambition for CFEA.
